Powered by LED technology, Samsung is at the crest of a high definition sea change. Utilizing efficiency of light emitting diodes has created a new class of HDTVs with slimmer designs, higher contrast ratios and drastically improved energy savings.
The entire LED series is compliant with Energy Star v3.0 guidelines by cutting power consumption to new lows. Mercury-free LEDs contribute to environmental friendliness and safety when compared to other backlighting technologies. Overall energy consumption is reduced by approximately 40 percent versus traditional LCD HDTVs of similar size. The LED HDTVs also include an optimized every savings mode that adjusts the backlight and picture quality while continuing to produce smoother, more natural imagery.
The 6000 series supports Samsung’s InfoLink RSS Service, users can access news, sports, weather and stocks with ease.The LED series also features USB ports that make it easier than ever to view and listen to media from external devices.
