Sony stops FED TV development

Sony stops the FED-TV development. The closure was blamed on an inability to raise funds for manufacturing. Sony which invested much money in the OLED technology must save money because the worldwide recession.

For a few months Sonys FET company plans ship a line of high-end professional FED video monitors in 2009, said Norihito Nishimoto, a spokesman for the new company. The monitors will be offered in a range of sizes up to 32 inches, he said.
