Utilizing iFire’s proprietary thick dielectric electroluminescent (TDEL) technology, iFire™ displays offer benefits for a wide range of applications. The display is ideally suited for large-screen consumer television applications, where video performance standards are demanding and affordability is critical for significant market penetration.
As an emissive display technology, TDEL provides iFire™ displays with fast video response time and unrestricted viewing angles. The display’s simple solid state architecture, combined with iFire’s patented thick dielectric material and manufacturing processes, further enables full-color video imaging, insensitivity to operating temperature extremes, scalability and low-cost manufacturing.
iFire Technology has created a solid-state flat panel display technology called thick dielectric electroluminescence (TDEL). Based on inorganic electroluminescent (IEL) display technology, TDEL uses a patented thick-film dielectric / thin film phosphor device structure to enable excellent video performance and color saturation, while providing inherent ruggedness and reliability. Compared to other flat panel display technologies, iFire’s TDEL technology uses relatively simple, low cost, and high-yield manufacturing processes. Combining low-cost potential with excellent video performance characteristics, iFire™ displays are positioned to become an affordable, high performance flat panel alternative for the television market.
