Canon reports 17 percent jump in quarterly profit READY for SED-TV in 2008?


Canon earn enough mony to introduce SED-Television in 2008!
Here are the facts:

Canon Inc. said Thursday that profit jumped 17 percent in the April-June quarter on hot-selling copiers, printers and digital cameras, as well as a weaker yen.

Net income rose to 123.9 billion yen (US$1.03 billion; €750 million) in the company's fiscal second quarter, from 105.9 billion yen a year earlier, the Tokyo-based electronics maker said in a release.

The company is also planning to roll out a new technology in flat TVs called SED, or surface-conduction electron-emitter display, that will bring it head-to-head with companies like Sony.
