OSD Displays (OSD) recently announced an upgraded 5.7-inch diagonal VGA TFT LCD that now includes a 50,000 hour lifetime white LED backlight, according to the company.

The module is intended for the industrial control and mobile computing market. However, it is also suited for other applications that require a high quality TFT display with a long service life, claimed the company.

The OSD057VG01CW will support up to 18-bit (262k) colors and also features an onboard white LED backlight driver and DC-DC power supply for the source and gate drivers. Backlight brightness of the panel is 250 cd/m2 typical with a contrast ratio of 300:1.The overall dimensions are 127mm (W) × 100mm (H) × 6.6mm (T). The display active area is 116.16mm (W) × 87.12mm (H).
